Liero
With an arsenal of 40 weapons, you try to kill your opponent who is another worm as either a friend or the computer. Liero includes 4 game modes (such as Kill'em All and Capture the Flag) and level editor. Liero is a Finnish game but the gameplay is in English.
Here are 2 good sites dedicated to the Liero game where you can find more information:

Liero AI
Liero AI is a must-have for Liero fans. It keeps the same basic gameplay of the original, but is improved in just about every way possible! Liero won't work on Windows XP? This one's 32 bit! Did you want online play? You got it! More options to tweak? Here! Overkill weapons? Should you ever want to use them, they're all here! Water, poison, gunpowder, hot, smoldering terrain? ...Do you really even need all that?! How about better levels? All included in this awesome package! The AI is very poor, as in Liero, so this game is best enjoyed with a friend. Also, some complain that this game goes too fast compared to the original Leiro. Well, don't be afraid to just change the speed settings! It may take a few minutes to tweak them, but it'll pay off after your first online match! Simply put, if you liked Liero, but wished it had a few more levels, features, settings, and options, you'll totally love Liero AI!

Liquid War
If you thought that the real time strategy genre was reserved only for games like Command and Conquer, Warcraft, and thier clones then you are about to be proven wrong.Liquid War is an RTS game like no other.
In Liquid War, you are given an army of liquid particles. You cannot shoot, and there is no money to build more soldiers (or particles). Instead, you must strategically deploy your army of liquid so that you can overcome your opponents army, and eventually make his army yours. This isn't very easy; Liquid War requires an incredible amount of foresight and quick wits. The key is to trap your enemy between two or more of your "squads" and leave him no way out, lest he will do to you what you are trying to do to him.
The computer is a very able opponent, especially if you play against more than one opponent, but the meat of the game is the on-line play. As of yet there is almost never anyone playing on the games servers, but perhaps (and hopefully) the game's presence on Gamehippo will change that. You can play with up to 6 players.
There are tons of maps to choose from in Liquid War, each which lends itself to it's own unique strategy and playing style. A couple of them I really did not like but as a majority the map design is excellent. You can also choose things such as map color and the like.
The graphics of Liquid War are nice, especially the underwater distortion effect, but nothing breathtaking.
Bottom Line: Liquid War is a breath of fresh air in the strategy genre. Highly reccomended.

Penguin Command
Penguin Command was originally created for Linux (thus the Penguin!) but it's now ported for other OS too. This remake is heaps of fun to play! The game concept of Missile Command can never get too old. The graphical effects are beautifully rendered as well as the audio effects. You control three cannons to protect your city from incoming missiles. Penguin Command has already positioned itself as one of my favorite games.

Racer
Racer, despite the unoriginal name, is a very nice 3D racing game for 1 or 2 players. You have a nice variety of cars, tracks and various styles of play, pluss, the graphics and sounds are very well done, wich combined, gives you a nice fun gaming experience.
In the single player option, you can choose between career mode, training mode, and a cup. While playing career mode, your goal is to win money to buy new and better cars that you can use in furture races. In training, you basicly just race on various tracks, and try to beat the AI. The cup mode is very similar to career mode, the only differences being that you can customize the game settings more and that you can't buy a new car throughout the cup. The multiplayer mode is almost the same, just that you don't have career mode. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try this mode, even though it seemed like alot of fun.
I found both the graphics and sound very good, and I can't really think of much too improve. The AI was also well written, which is something that lacks in today's games of this genre. So, if your a racing game lover, this is a game for you!
NOTE: There's a Czech version of the game at the author's homepage. Also, if you browse the Czech version of the website, you'll have access to more games than if you use the English one, plus you can view the source code.
