The Breakdown
The full name of this game is THE BREAKDOWN: A SNACK-SIZED ADVENTURE GAME, and as the name suggest, this game is pretty short. But don't let that turn you off, The Breakdown is easily one of the best freeware adventure game I've ever seen.
This game is very similar to LucasArts adventure games(partly because this game was developed with AGAST). Your task is to examine everything that you can find around the area which will help you solve your problem. However, this is no easy feat, especially when some items are hidden in areas where you will least expect them to appear. But don't fret, because completing this game is extremely rewarding and chances are you will enjoy the challenge of this game.
The graphics and presentation is pure 2d goodness. In fact, they can even be compard with commercial ones like the Freddy Fish series! The introduction was also fantastic, it sort of feels like a cartoon show if you ask me.
I wished there was some speech in this game, however the music and sound in this game should suffice. I really liked the opening theme, which is kind of 'rockish'.
Finally, i would just like to mention that the official website has a walkthrough there in case you get stuck. However, I recommend that you do without it first if you want to fully enjoy the fun of solving this game by yourself, After all thats what adventure games are all about! :)
