  Truck Dismount (Rekkaturvat)
Truck Dismount (Rekkaturvat) is the sequel to one of the best stress relievers of all time, Stair Dismount (Porrasturvat). This time, our lifeless, paste-colored friend has brought along a big truck and a nice hard wall to help him screw up his body in every which way possible. Like Porrasturvat, there are a variety of options to adjust or change in order to inflict as much damage as possible. Instead of pressure points, however, you get to fiddle with the speed of the truck, whether or not to have a windshield, and where our little masochist lays or stands. You can also lay down one or two ramps, which are used to elevate your truck off the ground, or ricochet your truck between the ramp and the wall. There are seven camera angles you can choose from, varying from a moving, behind-the-wheel view to the classic, stationary side-view. One obvious camera angle that's missing is a view from the driver's seat, but there's enough unique angles that you won't be too disappointed. One addition that I very much appreciate is the replay feature. Whenever you get a score into the high score list, your reply is automatically saved. Unfortunately, your parameters are not recorded, so your friends can still acuse you of cheating (argh!). It's also good to note that the online high score tables are up. They're divided into two categories: the top 20 scores in the last 24 hours, and the all-time top 200 scores. You may appreciate the online tables a bit more than I did, though, as I can't hold a candle to my virtual competitors. The Bottom Line: Although the novelty factor isn't as high as Porrasturvat's - how many crash-the-car games have we seen since the invention of the Crash Dummy toys? - there's still enough fresh ideas that you'll get hooked. It does what a sequel is supposed to do; it adds new elements and flavor to the first installment, but you'll like them both for the same reasons.
