INDIVIDUAL GAME LISTING
  Fight Zone
Upon booting up Fight Zone and setting my eyes upon the slick title screen, I pretty much knew that this would not be another futile venture into the all-too-often lackluster world of freeware first person shooters. And indeed, after following a number of blind FPS leads which I do not care to count, my gaming intuition finally lead me to a playable -and lo! even a pretty durn good FPS. Those who have spent lazy afternoons searching for a game like this to play will know that what I have done can be called, if not great, at least a recognizeable feat. The graphics in Fight Zone need not be poured over in an obscenely long and nitty-gritty paragraph. Suffice to say, they are more than adequate, and likely more than most would have come to expect in a freeware deathmatch game. And the same could be said about every other facet of the game. By the standards of all decent games in it's genre, Fight Zone does nothing outstandingly well, but then, it does nothing dismally either. 'Above Average' would be just as suitable and descriptive a title as is the given 'Fight Zone'. As such, anyone who has yet to be spoiled by the likes of Unreal Tournament and Quake III Arena and can still enjoy what is just a plain ole fun fraggin' time, will welcome Fight Zone with open arms. The spoiled among ye, stay away.
