INDIVIDUAL GAME LISTING
  FloboPuyo
FloboPuyo is a faithful remake of Sega's PuyoPuyo. If you're unfamiliar with PuyoPuyo, it's one of the better Tetris clones out there. In FloboPuyo, your goal is to keep your board from being cluttered with little multicolored blobs, while at the same time trying to pile them up on your opponent's board. There are five different colored blobs: Red, Green, Orange, Blue, and Purple. These blobs will fall in pairs from the top of the screen. Get four or more of them to stick together, and they will disappear. They can stick in any direction, so long as they're all touching. FloboPuyo's blobs are also affected by gravity. Each pair of blobs is easily separable, so there will be no open spaces in between your blobs. FloboPuyo has two modes: Single Player and Two Player. In Single Player, you face a ladder of AI opponents. Two Player is self-explanatory. There are three difficulty settings, so even the most experienced player will be challenged. As you might guess, FloboPuyo gets very repetitive, and monotonous music only adds to the repetition. Being a simple puzzle game, playing again and again is tolerable, but more modes of play would have certainly been welcome. Sadly, FloboPuyo commits one deadly flaw that keeps it from being as good as it could be: Blue and Purple blobs look almost exactly alike! This game will strain your eyes as you try to discern whether a blob is blue or purple. I'm sure fans of the PuyoPuyo series are already used to this problem, but it really annoyed me. Still, the game's well-made, and with some practice you'll learn to tell the difference between blue and purple blobs. So, if you're a fan of quick arcade puzzlers, FloboPuyo is a great download.
