Monkey Swing
Monkey Swing is different than most games in terms of game concept and imaginary graphics. You play the role of a happy monkey trying to collect all the bananas and then reaching for the top of the tree of each level. Each of the levels have a time limit which makes it more exciting. The trick is to learn the techniquie of swinging. The monkey is very cute and he makes funny ape sounds too. This game has 8 levels.

Operation Spacehog
In Operation Spacehog, you can choose to control one of three ships. Each ship has a different special weapon, and has different powerups to start with. Operation Spacehog has multiple difficulty levels, a 2-player mode, high score system, and tons of power-ups. Sound effects are not very impressive. The DOS version of Spacehog was created in DJGPP

Pendulumania
Pendulumania is one of those rare computer games that manages to be simple, fun, and unique at the same time. In Pendulumania, you control a ring using the mouse. Attached to the ring is a ball which swings back and forth along a very springy string. Using the ring, you can pull the ball so that it will whip acroos the screen and hit the targets. However, the string will snap if it is stretched too far. Even if the string doesn't snap, it may weaken if overstretched, making it so that it can no longer stretch as far as before. By the way, you can't view ratings that you've never earned yourself when seeing a recording. The game will blur them out.
Pendulumania's gameplay is made more exciting by the scoring system. The more stretched the string is, the more points you can earn for hitting the targets. Furthermore, combos serve to allow you to earn massive quantities of points. The red and green targets serve to increase the size/mass of your ball and the strength of the string. A timer rapidly counts down towards zero but you earn more time for hitting targets.
Pendulumania's sounds and graphics are unimpressive. However, the gameplay is excellent. You can save replays of your games and can upload your highscore to the game server. I could not get the game server to work, however.
By the way, one of my best scores (not my highest one) is 152,936,489. (REC)

Penguin Command
Penguin Command was originally created for Linux (thus the Penguin!) but it's now ported for other OS too. This remake is heaps of fun to play! The game concept of Missile Command can never get too old. The graphical effects are beautifully rendered as well as the audio effects. You control three cannons to protect your city from incoming missiles. Penguin Command has already positioned itself as one of my favorite games.

Return of Egypt
Oh no! It seems those durn Egyptians are at it again! Only this time they are undead...and roaming the halls of the Pharoah's castle... Who knows what hideous schemes are taking form within those hollow skeletal skulls? Not I! For this game is almost entirely in Japanese, which, for the uninformed, is the true ancient universal language of the Hebrews and the Egyptians. Pretty swell, these educational reviews, eh?
So, we've got lovely Egyptian skeletons, as stylish as ever in those fownky old Egyptian head pieces --and what's this?! It seems the Pharoah himself has arrived, too. This smells awfully fishy, dontcha think? In fact...this smells like a job for...Moses! And 'lo! Here he cometh, from over yonder sand dune, skillfully weilding the all-powerful Staff of Righteousness, looking good as ever in that cool white beard, draped in expensive bathroom rugs. Those Egyptians are quaking in their boots, I tell ya!
Are you done?
Yeah, I think I'm done.
Good. Now review the consarn dagnab game already and stop wasting these people's time!
Return of Egypt is without a doubt the most polished, well made, and fun Castlevania-like game I have ever played. For those unfamiliar with the Castlevania franchise's style of gameplay, I urge you to download this game and get a taste of it first hand. This is the exact same thing. And yet it still manages to stay fresh, and be its own game. The graphics are superb right from the start; and they only get better as you progress. The scenery has a very washed out look, and it adds to the age worn atmosphere of the game. 2d special affects abound, and never fail to wow, and from the cute little skeletons to the giant screen-filling bosses, the sprites are top-notch.
The castle is extraodinarily well designed, giving you open ended possibilities of what to do next, while never letting you stray to far from what your next objective should be. Save and HP/MP restoring points are conveniently located all over the castle, ensuring that if you die, you will never have to redo more than a few rooms. The difficulty level is perfect: Always slowly building the challenge, but never skipping to the point of frustration.
There is a story being told here, but I have no idea what it is, nor do I have but the faintest guesses as to whom Rameses's friend, who frequently pops up and chats with Moses, is. In fact, I can only guess which of the (discounting Moses) two other human(?) characters is Rameses at all. I don't mind having no idea what's going on, though, because essentially, this game isn't about playing through a warped bible story. It's about kicking biblical bad guy tushie.
Bottom Line: This is a good'n, yep.
Note: Hit the F4 key and change the Player 1 controls to Keyboard when the game opens. Hit the 'Shift' key to start the game.
