Possible Worlds
Possible Worlds was created as a programming project by two students at the University of Vienna. After a somewhat parodic introduction, the actual gameplay begins. The story of the game is in essense about the American forces who has to engage in a military campaign to combat the Alien sea-stations. Each mission is slightly different, but its core is always to survey and distroy all alien life forms. The 3D underwater world is nicely rendered and the explosion in the sand is cool. However, after playing for a while the excitement never reached the heights that I was wishing for. Read the files in the Docs folder for the game instructions (in English).

Prairie Dog Hunt PRO
This game is a few years but recently fairly released as freeware. The goal is simple; You aim at and shot down as many prarie dogs you can before you run out of ammo. The game has gory content but if you are not sensitive about that, then you will enjoy this virtual hunting game. There are many options available, such as the game speed and number of dogs on the field.

PromZone
PromZone is a famous QBasic game that never got the hype it deserved. The game has a fairly original storyline, in which the world has been forced into a permanent eclipse by an underground, corrupt organization. You get hired by the government to get into the stronghold so that you can find a way to return sunlight to the planet before the Earth's resources are destroyed.
The game has brilliant graphics, especially considering this was done in Qbasic. There is absolutely no fliker, and all the graphics has a consistent style that blends in with the entire game.
The sound in the game is equally good. Although the graphics and sound could use a little more "blending", it is still quite good, with nice subtleties like pistol fire.
The game unfortunately only features a single level, and this is easily the biggest downside to game. The level that is there is however very interactive. The game has the flair of a spy game and you will really get into it, unfortunatly to find out that it can be completed in less that 30 minutes. The computer AI also adds to the gameplay, by having guards that actually "guard", and that can be taken by surprise. The realism is further enhanced by the fact that headshots are more damaging, and that you have to crouch to reduce risk of damage. The game itself is not very difficult, but it is challenging enough to be fun. It has excellent level layout, and great atmosphere.
Bottom Line : This game is great.
Note : I hate SBMIDI and it hates my computer. If you've got Win2k or WinXP, chances are you will have problems with this game. Unless you've got your AUTOEXEC.BAT sorted to work with sound blaster, this won't run. If you've got an older OS, then download this now!
| PC REQUIREMENTS: SBMIDI set on AUTOEXEC.BAT, EMS |

Reflexion
Reflexion is a unique game where your goal is to collect all the gems with your ball, and then proceed to the exit. You direct the ball by reflecting it off mirrors. If you click on the mirrors, they change direction, and that way you can lead the ball different directions too. The game features 36 levels, however, the first one is just a tutorial and only leads you into the games rules. There are also 3 level classes: Beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you win the beginner levels, you can unlock the intermediate ones, and if you beat those too, you can unlock the advanced ones. The game has very nice graphics, though the sound could be improved quite a bit. Theres also a few other minor thing that could be improved. So, taking everything into account, this is a very good game and a must-get for people that want to exercise their mind.
NOTE: The homepage leads to Game Maker's homepage (Reflexion's dev tool), where the game is listed.
